Professor Cécile Oury, CM4Cure Founder and Chief Scientific Officer, has been appointed Chair of the Scientific and Standardization Committee (SSC) on Biorheology, Biomaterials and Bioengineering of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH).
The ISTH is the leading thrombosis- and hemostasis-related professional organization in the world with over 7,700 members in more than 110 countries.
Professor Oury is responsible for the Subcommittee’s 2025-26 work program and its output for the next four years.
The ISTH Scientific and Standardization Committee is the scientific working arm that handles the Society’s scientific work.
The Committee is focused on all blood flow-, blood-material compatibility-, and general bioengineering-related issues in thrombosis and haemostasis, spanning basic research models to methodology to put into practice in the clinic or medical device companies.
Drs. Lining Ju, Karin Leiderman, Abhishek Jain, Susan Shea, and Z. Leonardo Liu will act as Co-chairs of the Subcommittee for the following year.
